2025 SUSTAINABILITY REPORT
a. Our Sustainability Approach
As Gülümser Hatun Thermal Hotel & SPA, we are aware that sustainability practices in tourism minimize the negative impacts on social, environmental, and cultural heritage, and we acknowledge the responsibilities brought by sustainable tourism.
Within this framework; we continue our efforts effectively in many areas included in the concept of sustainability, such as reducing environmental impacts, protecting human rights, efficient management of energy, water and waste, preserving cultural and social heritage, providing economic and social benefits to local communities and local producers, and protecting the environment.
While acting with a pioneering vision among thermal hotels in Türkiye, we place sustainability at the center of our operations. From energy saving to waste management, we efficiently utilize our Kütahya thermal resources and provide a peaceful environment for our guests without disturbing the balance of nature.
Beyond being a classic thermal hotel in Yoncalı, we stand out with our environmentally friendly practices. In order to protect the ecosystem of the region, we support local producers and develop solutions that minimize our carbon footprint.
While experiencing the unique atmosphere of the Yoncalı thermal region, you will feel the comfort of staying in a facility that does not harm the environment.
Our hotel combines privacy and comfort with environmentally friendly policies for guests seeking a conservative thermal hotel experience.
Sustainable tourism does not only include protecting nature, but also preserving cultural values and social sensitivities. With this awareness, we both preserve our traditions and offer the highest standards as a modern SPA hotel.
If you would like to experience a Kütahya thermal hotel while also contributing to nature, our doors are always open to you. Away from the noise of the city, in our facility that stands out among Kütahya hotel options with its environmental awareness, you can relax both your body and soul.
With the philosophy of “sustainable world for sustainable tourism,” we are sincerely committed to sustainability principles. With this approach, we aim to raise and develop sustainable tourism awareness by conveying it to our employees, business partners, and service approach.

d. Social and Cultural Support
In line with our sustainable tourism vision, it is our top priority that our facility operates not only with environmental awareness but also with a strong sense of social and cultural responsibility. In this context, the projects we carry out to strengthen social solidarity aim to create tangible value at both local and national levels.
Through financial donations to LÖSEV, we support the health and education processes of children, while with 50 saplings donated via TEMA Foundation, we strive to leave a greener world for future generations. These steps are the strongest indicators that tourism is not only a service sector but also a movement of goodwill.
With the aim of sustaining the culture of solidarity, one of our core social values, the food packages delivered to families in need during the holy month of Ramadan, as well as direct financial aid, form the heart of our social sustainability strategy.
Caring for the welfare of local people and contributing to social justice adds meaning to our corporate identity and cultural structure. By increasing the diversity of such initiatives, we will continue to represent the ethical and humanitarian dimensions of sustainable tourism at the highest level through projects that reach all stakeholders in the region.
e. Education & Support
Within the scope of social sustainability, one of the fundamental pillars of sustainable tourism, we have prioritized the personal and cultural development of our employees, who are our most valuable stakeholders.
In this regard, we provided Museum Cards to 5 of our employees to enhance their motivation and strengthen their awareness of cultural heritage, enabling them to connect with the historical richness of our country.
Such initiatives, which support employee engagement and intellectual development, reflect our vision of being not only a place of accommodation but also a learning-oriented organization that adds value to its employees.
In order to maintain our corporate competence and service quality at the highest level, a comprehensive 12-month training program has been implemented. Trainings are organized monthly in different areas of expertise, especially focusing on critical occupational health and safety topics such as fire safety and first aid, with maximum participation targeted.
By carefully coordinating shift transitions, we ensured that all staff members could participate in this development process without disrupting operational flow. These regularly conducted professional trainings both strengthen our operational safety and demonstrate our commitment to sustainable tourism standards.
f. Procurement and Sustainability – Our Contribution to the Local Economy
In line with the local development principle at the core of our sustainable tourism strategy, we consider contributing directly to the economic cycle of our region as one of our primary responsibilities.
Within this scope, we initiated strategic collaborations with 5 new local entrepreneurs, supporting the strengthening of local production and the entrepreneurship ecosystem. Through special discount agreements signed between our facility and these entrepreneurs, we ensured that our referred guests benefit from an additional 10% discount.
With this model, we both provide advantageous services to our guests and contribute to the revitalization of the regional economy by increasing the preference rate of local businesses.
Our sensitivity toward gender equality and empowering women’s labor is also reflected in our procurement policies. In this regard, we have started sourcing jams—an essential part of our breakfast tables and hospitality offerings—directly from local women’s cooperatives.
By presenting naturally produced local products made by women to our guests, we consistently emphasize that sustainable development is not only an environmental process but also a social solidarity process.
We also strengthen our social responsibility awareness through cultural and special day activities, aiming to reach all segments of society. On meaningful occasions such as International Women’s Day on March 8, we continue to raise awareness among both our employees and guests through initiatives such as flower distribution and similar events.
Through these projects that value local assets, respect labor, and activate regional potential, we continue to build a sustainable future by sharing the added value created by tourism with all our stakeholders.
